Its core market is China, although only two years of working with two offices and own staff in Shanghai. Sales to the Asian country accounts for 40% of annual turnover amounting to 4.5 million. Is 20% more than in 2010. The forecast for this year is to sell 10%, depending on the evolution of conflict in Arab countries and the global financial situation.

The company prepares for next year’s entry on two continents with potential growth of the luxury sector. In Africa, have yet to decide what country down his office, Senegal and Angola. They’ve hired a professional Senegalese which is analyzing the market. In Central America they will settle in Panama.

In America and in particular the United States, taps and fittings firm maintains a loop sentimental, since in the 60’s one of the founders, José María Simó, began trade with this country. Then accounted for 80% of its sales in the U.S. market, which sold the components. The strong competition from Asia and the dollar/euro broke this market and forced the company to turn the tide.

In 2005, after the family Simó assumed full management of the company, there was a change of strategy to boost the brand and focus the business in the luxury market. Three years later began to develop an international strategy, focusing on the achievement of projects.

Mestre has beening design for private villas and suites for most exclusive hotels in Finland, China, UAE, Guinea, Qatar and Latvia. The company is committed to having local production (Made in Spain) and delocalized promotion (promotional offices), unlike many companies, explains Planell. Between fifty employees, there are master craftsmen who have decades linked to the firm. Quality prevail over quantity. Within a week, can cast out about 50 pieces, and each time is chiseled two.”
